Tenured Full Professors

While women account for 47% of full-time faculty positions, many of these are non-tenure track roles. Additionally, women earn significantly less than their male counterparts at all academic levels – Full time faculty, tenured professors, tenure-track faculty, and non-tenure-track faculty.

According to the ‘in-depth look at recent US Dept of Education data’ conducted by the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), among tenured full professors, only 32.5% are women.

The national numbers are even smaller for University department chairs.

Tenured professors = 32.5% female

What will it take for women to get into the Power Percentage among Private University Presidents?
